The American green tree frog (Hyla cinerea or Dryophytes cinereus) can be found in the southeastern US in habitats with thick vegetation. Â This species of frog is polygynous, meaning that male frogs will try to mate with as many female frogs as they can. Male frogs acquire a mate by producing loud calls to advertise themselves, and hopefully catch the attention of a nearby female.
