Sunday Sketch: Banded Alder Borer 

The Banded Alder Borer, scientifically known as Rosalia funebris, is native to the Pacific Northwest. These insects feed on Alder, Ash, and other hardwood trees, and they are sometimes attracted to fresh paint.
